First, Is This The Right Service?

What Are You Booking?

Before you book — is the appliance still under warranty?

If it is, start with the manufacturer rather than with us. They raise a work order and send it to a local repairer, and you're welcome to ask for GBRS. Booking and paying us directly for a repair the manufacturer would have covered means paying for something you were entitled to have done under warranty.

Most appliances carry at least 12 months from purchase — the receipt is the place to check. What to have ready if they send you to us.

In-Home Appliance Repair

A technician visits your home to inspect, test and repair a major domestic appliance — for example:

Washing Machines · Dryers · Dishwashers · Refrigerators & Freezers · Ovens & Cooktops · Rangehoods

Small or Portable Appliance

Microwaves, robot vacuums, air fryers, portable fridges and similar small appliances use our Fyshwick workshop service instead. Online registration reserves your drop-off — it isn't an appointment, and payment happens when you drop the appliance off.

What Will It Cost?

Clear Pricing, Before You Book

The Service Call Fee and labour are separate charges. Prices shown include GST. Parts and freight are additional if parts are needed.

Service Call Fee

$150

  • Covers getting a technician to the property and the costs of providing the service
  • Save 10% when you book online
  • No second Service Call Fee on return visits for the same repair

Labour

$100 minimum

first 30 minutes

  • Covers the technician's time inspecting, testing, diagnosing and repairing the appliance
  • $16.67 per 5 minutes after the first 30
  • Capped at 2.5 hours per appliance, with a completion goal of 1.5 hours

The 10% online discount applies to the Service Call Fee, not the full invoice. Paying by card or contactless at the end of the visit saves a further 2.5% on labour — see Payment below.

What Happens at the Appointment?

Your Appointment, Simply

  • We inspect and test the appliance.
  • If the fault and repair are straightforward, we may be able to repair it during the same visit.
  • If parts are required, we'll explain what's needed and the next step.
  • If repair isn't practical or is outside our service scope, we'll explain that too.

Repairs We Don't Perform

A Few Repairs Aren't Practical In-Home

Some repair types aren't part of our in-home service. In some cases this can only be determined after the appliance has been inspected.

Washing machine drums and bearings

Bearing replacement and drum or tub removal require specialist workshop equipment.

Refrigeration sealed systems

Refrigerant leaks, compressor replacement and sealed-system work require controlled workshop conditions.

Gas appliance repairs

We can repair electrical components, but any work on the gas system requires a licensed gas fitter.

If diagnosis shows your appliance needs one of these specialist repairs, we charge the Service Call Fee only and don't add labour charges. Full details are on our service scope page.

Before Your Technician Arrives

A Quick Checklist

  • Normal ground-level access to the appliance
  • Electricity connected, and water where relevant
  • Someone contactable onsite, or a responsible adult in attendance
  • Model and serial details, if you have them
  • A short description of the fault
  • If you're a tenant or booking on someone else's behalf, let us know

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Before You Book

Cancelling or rescheduling with at least a full business day's notice is free. Less notice may attract a labour charge, up to the full Service Call Fee and minimum labour if it's within an hour of your appointment or a technician is already on the way.

If nobody's home when we arrive, we'll wait 15 minutes before the Service Call Fee and minimum labour apply. See the full Terms & Conditions of Service for details.

Payment

When and How You Pay

Payment is due at the end of the visit. We accept card and contactless (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) — save 2.5% on labour paying this way — and online payment by card, Apple Pay or PayTo via the link on your invoice. Bank transfer is available only to approved account customers by prior arrangement.
