The Technika Appliances We Repair

We repair Technika appliances in your home across Canberra and Queanbeyan:

From Our Job Notes

Technika Repairs We’ve Carried Out

A few real Technika jobs from around Canberra — what the customer noticed, what was actually wrong, and how it was fixed.

Technika dishwasher, Bonython

What the customer saw: Dishes stayed dirty, particularly in the corners, despite cleaning the filters and running cleaning cycles.

What we found: Both spray arms were split, so the water jets were losing pressure. The filters and drain connection were clear.

What we did: Replaced the upper and lower spray arms and tested the dishwasher. The new arms rotated correctly and the unit tested okay.

Technika dishwasher, Florey

What the customer saw: Dishes weren’t washing properly, and the lower door seal had come out.

What we found: Blocked spray arms. Both door seals were seated correctly with no tears, and the spray arms weren’t split.

What we did: Cleared the spray arms, checked the seals, and tested filling, washing, heating and draining, then left the dishwasher running a descale cycle. No parts were needed.

Technika wall oven, Yass

What the customer saw: The oven door wasn’t closing properly.

What we found: Faulty door hinges were stopping the door closing correctly.

What we did: Replaced both hinges and confirmed the door opened and closed properly.

Technika ceramic cooktop, Palmerston

What the customer saw: The front-right hotplate wasn’t working.

What we found: Its energy regulator — the switch that controls the heat — was broken.

What we did: Fitted an available regulator to restore operation, then returned to fit the genuine replacement, and tested the hotplate and its controls.

Technika induction cooktop, Kambah

What the customer saw: The left-hand cooking zone stopped working and displayed E2.

What we found: The hob’s supply switch was broken. After replacing it and checking the internal boards, fuses and connections, E2 still returned, so further board replacement was recommended.

What we did: Explained the repair and replacement options. The customer chose replacement, and we installed and tested a new induction cooktop.

Technika rangehood, Reid

What the customer saw: A loud noise whenever the fan ran.

What we found: The fan motor was causing the noise and needed replacing.

What we did: Replaced the motor and tested every fan speed and the lights. All worked correctly, with no unusual noise.

Examples from individual jobs. Similar symptoms can have different causes; diagnosis confirms the repair required.
